The Board of Selectmen encouraged Wareham residents to fill out the federal census on Tuesday night. 

Selectman Alan Slavin said that Wareham’s census completion rate was the lowest of the 27 communities in SRPEDD.

“If they don’t fill out the census, then we’re not going to get the money that the community deserves and needs,” Selectman Patrick Tropeano said.

Slavin added that the census also impacts the grants the town can apply for, as well as other programming.
