The Dick Melloni Youth Foundation will host its first ever Foundation Poker Run on Sunday, September 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pipers Restaurant on Main Street in Wareham. The fee to participate is $20 per hand.

The Foundation Poker Run is an organized motorcycle ride to benefit the programs of the Dick Melloni Youth Foundation.

Bikers will begin at Pipers Restaurant in Wareham, and will visit five separate Cape Cod area restaurants where they will draw and record a playing card. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.

Prizes will be awarded for the best hand. Post-run festivities include raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and an old fashioned cookout at Pipers Restaurant within steps of the end of the run.

Checks can be made payable to the Dick Melloni Youth Foundation (DMYF), 7 Peter Cooper Drive, Wareham, MA, 02571.

The Dick Melloni Youth Foundation (DMYF) is a 501(3)c non-profit organization that provides educational, health and general support for children and families in Wareham and surrounding communities in southeastern Massachusetts.

The DMYF believes that communities must join together and adopt an active role in providing for the welfare of its children in efforts to secure a brighter future for all residents.

With this in mind the DYMF has established and integrated several fund raising activities aimed at providing resources for area families.
