Foundation seeks families to host exchange students
The EF Foundation for Foreign Study is currently looking for South Coast and Cape Cod-area families to open their homes to high school foreign exchange students.
Charbel Semaan, an International Exchange Coordinator, matches host families and exchange students with similar interests and keeps in touch with them throughout the year. Semaan is always available to share in the lives of exchange students and their new families as they experience the life-changing power of cultural exchange.
EF exchange students come from more than 30 countries around the world and are between the ages of 15 and 18. The majority of students stay for a full high school year. In the past, exchange students have come from as far away as Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, and Italy.
Since 1979, EF Foundation’s team of dedicated volunteers, local coordinators, and staff has helped over 90,000 students from nearly 40 countries participate in International Exchange programs. EF Foundation’s global reach and local support has made it the largest facilitator of high school year programs for exchange students coming to the United States.
