Fourth grade choir spreads holiday cheer

Dec 22, 2016

What did the fourth graders of Minot Forest get on the fifth day before vacation? No hoo-oomework!

A hilarious spoof of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" ("The Twelve Days Before Vacation") was just one of many songs the fourth grade choir of Minot Forest Elementary School performed for the elderly at the Council on Aging on Thursday morning.

"And a trip to see Mr. Bell," the assistant principal, was the finishing line of the song.

Geared up for the holidays, students donned reindeer antlers and Santa hats while spreading some holiday cheer.

Their performance included a James Brown-style song titled "Winter in America" (which "all depends on where you live"), a slow ballad using harmonizing vocals and a sing-a-long of Christmas favorites.

The show was led by music teacher Russ Hart. This performance preceded an upcoming show in January.
