Frances H. Logan, 81

Jun 27, 2013

Frances H. Logan, 81, of Wareham passed away with her family by her side on June 23, at Tobey Hospital. Frances, also known as “Fran” or “Grammy,” lost the battle to lung cancer. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Mason of Ireland.

She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and moved to Brockton at the age of 15. In her earlier years she worked in the shoe factory and later became a home health aid. Fran worked up until the age of 80, caring for people.

Fran was a very caring and generous woman. She touched the lives of everyone who was blessed enough to come across her path. She had a gift of making everyone feel special. As soon as someone met Fran she would make them feel like an old friend. Everyone who knew Fran and visited her home never left hungry for love or for food.

She enjoyed cooking (always for others), playing Scrabble and cards, spending time with her family, and also enjoyed going to the casino.

Fran had seven children, the late Terrence Logan, the late Christine Logan, Lorraine Bradsher, Richard Logan (Darlene Logan), Lisa Logan, Cindy Logan, and Christopher Logan (Alicia Logan). She also had 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one to arrive in December.

At Fran’s request there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Fran’s memory to the Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 or your favorite charity.
