Frank J. Montrond, 72
WAREHAM – Frank J. Montrond, 72, of Wareham, passed away on Oct. 26, 2025, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI. He was the son of the late Anthony P. and Mary B. Montrond.
He was born and raised in Wareham. He was a graduate of Wareham High School, class of 1970. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1976 until his honorable discharge in 1980. After his time in the service, he lived for many years in Portland, OR and Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
Mr. Montrond worked as a police officer for the Portland Police Bureau from 1980 until his retirement in 2004. He later worked for Hawaiian Airlines for several years.
Mr. Montrond was a fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He loved cooking with his brother Tony, no matter how far the geographic distance between them. He also enjoyed camping on the beaches of Hawaii.
Survivors include his children, Nicholas Montrond and his wife, Maya Rowland of Seattle, WA, Christopher Montrond of Milwaukie, OR, Jalena Montrond-Scott and her husband, Gavin of Portland, OR, and Dominique Montrond of Beaverton, OR; his brother and sisters, Anthony P. Montrond, Jr., Martha T. Montrond, and Michelle A. Montrond all of East Wareham, Anna L. Messner and her husband, Kurt of Plymouth; 5 grandchildren, Hank, June, Nia, Hollis, and Zara; a sister-in-law, Denise Montrond of Fairhaven; several nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Maria Rodriguez- Cabral, Arthur Montrond, and Michael Montrond.
Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
