Kids can get a free haircut and backpack filled with school supplies to get ready for the school year at an event sponsored by Community Youth Empowerment, Faded Image Barbershop and Staples on Sunday, August 21. 

The barbers at Faded Image, 24 Rte. 6, will be cutting hair for free from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids will receive a backpack filled with school supplies.

The event will also include a bounce house, face painting and music.
