The Onset Film Festival presents free films at the Onset Band Shell on Thursdays from June 30 until Aug. 18.

Shows will begin around 8 p.m. Face painting will begin at 7 p.m.

All concessions are $1. There will be popcorn and cotton candy at the events.

The events are sponsored by the Onset Bay Association, Cultural Connections, the Wareham Cultural Council, Eastern Bank, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The first movie will be Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on June 30.

• July 7 - The Lego Movie
• July 14 - Open Season
• July 21 - Frozen
• July 28 - Zootopia
• Aug. 4 - The Jungle Book
• Aug. 11 - Inside Out
• Aug. 18 - The Good Dinosaur
