The Onset Bay Center is hosting a free, pop-up sailing event around Onset Bay on Wednesday, October 7.

The program will help participants learn about sailing, the parts of a boat, and the waters of Onset Bay, and is aimed at those with little to no sailing experience.

David Halberstadt, a longtime sailor and volunteer at the center, will lead this program aboard the 17-foot O’Day Day Sailor. 

There are two time slots for a max of three participants each, from 3 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 5 p.m.

Masks will be required throughout the program.
