The Wareham Garden Club will be hosting an Arbor Day Event at the A.D. Makepeace Company’s 158 Tihonet Road location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. 

The event will include a Red Bud and Red Maple seedling giveaway, and the master gardeners of Barnstable County will be on-hand to test soil.

Blake Dinius, the county’s entomologist, will give an educational talk at 10:30.

At 12:30, Kathleen Coyle, the club’s master gardener and flower show judge, will lead participants in creating their own floral arrangements. All materials will be included, and the workshop will be open to the first 15 people in line. 

Marcia Hickey, the children’s librarian, will lead a story time. Crafts for kids will be available.

Applications for Garden Club membership will be available.
