Gerrie Metcalf (Curtis) Kimball, 73, of East Wareham, died March 31, 2016 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation at Forestview. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Kimball and the daughter of the late William Tyler and Margery Griffin (Emery) Curtis.

She was born in Boston and lived in Wareham for many years. She graduated from Scituate High School.

Mrs. Kimball worked as a telephone operator at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth for many years before retiring.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and she enjoyed going to the Highland Games and cooking.

Survivors include 2 sons, Brian Metcalf of University Park, WA and Michael Metcalf of Sagamore Beach; 3 brothers, Robert Curtis of ME, John W. Curtis of FL and Charles B. Curtis of Pelham, NH; a sister, Cathie C. Curtis of ME; a grandson, Joseph Metcalf.

Her funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Visiting hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
