Duck and cover!

The Wareham Free Library’s annual Rubber Duck Race will return to A.D. Makepeace headquarters, 150 Tihonet Road, on Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. 

The ducks will be unleashed in the Tihonet Pond Canal, where volunteer waders will determine which one is the fastest swimmer. 

Before the race, there will be some “ducky family fun” at Makepeace headquarters. 

Entering a single duck in the race costs $5. A “six quack” goes for $25, while 13 ducks cost $50. A “Golden Flock” of 25 ducks costs $100. 

Ducks can be purchased at the library, Makepeace headquarters or Makepeace Farms, 146 Tihonet Road.

All proceeds support the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
