The wait is over — Chipotle Mexican grill opened its first Wareham location on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 1 Seth F. Tobey Road.

The 37-seat fast-casual Mexican restaurant has a special “Chipotlane” drive-through, company representative Sally Evans said in an email, where customers can pick up mobile orders from their cars.

The first 50 customers received free Chipotle merchandise on Thursday, Evans said.

The restaurant will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

Evans added that customers who make online orders can round up their bill to the dollar to support the Farmlink Project, which helps fight food insecurity.
