Harriett G. “Penny” (Gloria) Rosa, 86, of Teaticket, died Monday, April 7 at Kindred Transitional Care at Forestview in Wareham.
Born in Falmouth, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Carrie G. (Rezendes) Gloria. In 1961, after years of traveling abroad, she moved back to her hometown of Falmouth where she raised her four children.
Mrs. Rosa loved gardening and was especially proud of her hydrangeas and the variety of flowers she grew in her garden. She also loved to read and write. Knitting, crochet and arts and crafts were some of her favorite hobbies too. Mrs. Rosa also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking and was known for her pecan pie. Since it was close by, she enjoyed spending time at Bristol Beach in Falmouth.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Kaiser of Buzzards Bay, William Satinover of Cooper City, Fla., Laurie Bousquet of Acadia, Fla. and Frank Satinover of Silver Spring, MD. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 11, at Agawam Cemetery, Sillman Dr., Wareham at 11 a.m. Visiting hours have been omitted.
