High school Key Club celebrates first anniversary
The Wareham High School Key Club celebrated its first anniversary on March 16, with a ceremony at the high school.
During the ceremony, the Bourne-Wareham Kiwanis Club officially discharged this year's officers, and inducted its new ones.
The new officers are as follows:
- President – Ruth Gonzalez
- Vice President – Sara Gallagher
- Secretary – Daniella Cobb
- Treasurer – Madison Hough
- Editor – Alana Nicoletti
The program also recognized parents for their support throughout the year, as well as club advisors.
The club also gave partial scholarships to the 10 outgoing and incoming officers to attend the Key Club District Convention in Springfield in April.
The Key Club consists of 32 members this year, who have performed a combined total of 615 hours of community service.
Within the next month, the club will conduct a school-wide drive for personal hygiene items for Damien’s Food Pantry. Also, three club members, Allyssa Santos, Brianna Tavares, and Bridgette King, will be volunteering at Camp Sunshine in Maine during the April vacation to help families who are struggling with cancer.
