The “Gravestone Girls,” a pair of central Massachusetts women who create artwork and give lectures honoring the historic tombstones of New England’s colonial cemeteries, will discuss the history of Wareham’s cemeteries at the Wareham Free Library on Wednesday, July 5 at 7 p.m.
The Gravestone Girls are particularly interested in the meanings behind the many symbols and markings that can be found on old tombstones.
This lecture is free and no registration is required. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
