Home catches fire in West Wareham
An early morning fire woke the neighborhood of North Carver Road Friday, Oct. 24.
The Wareham Fire Department responded to a structure fire call to a West Wareham home at 2:43 a.m. Upon arrival firefighters found a home 'heavily involved,' in fire. There were no injuries and the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
According to the department the home was currently under renovation.
Due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area, mutual aid from Carver was requested to supply water to help with extinguishing efforts. The Marion Fire Department also responded to the scene with ladder company.
The fire was put out at around 3:20 a.m. overhaul, or, with the process of ensuring all fire is completely extinguished after the main flames are put out taking several more hours.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
