Honor Senator Marc Pacheco

There will be a retirement and thank you event for longtime 3rd Bristol and Plymouth District State Senator Marc Pacheco Sunday, Oct 6 at the Rosebrook Event Center, 50 Rosebrook Place #1, Wareham Ma from 1 to 5 p.m.

Pacheco served as the districts senator for 32 years where he earned the honor of dean of the senate and has spent a total of 36 years in state government.

In a Wareham Week article, Senator Pacheco said he chose not to run for reelection due to the fact it is a national election year and he felt the time was right for a transition.

Democrat Joe Pacheco, no relation to Marc Pacheco, Republican Kelly Dooner and Independent Jim Dupont are running for the state senate seat in the Nov. 5 general election.
