WAREHAM - James Frederick Weatherby age 80 passed away on June 7, 2024 after a long illness. He was the husband of Judy (Baker) Weatherby, married for 60 years. Father of James C. Weatherby and his wife Lisa of Easton and Thomas E. Weatherby and his wife Nancy of Avon. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Nicholas, Catherine and T.J. Weatherby. 

Brother of the late Charles Weatherby and Barbara McIntyre of Florida and Patricia & Paul Gouviea of Holbrook. Brother-in-law-of Cheryl & Patrick Murphy of Westerly, RI, Janet & Dennis Reddy of Kingston, and June Baker of Holbrook and many nieces and nephews. 

Jim was born in Brockton, grew up in Holbrook graduating from Holbrook High in 1962. He was employed by Sears for 31 years until his disability retirement. Jim was very active in youth sports programs coaching farm teams, little league, and youth basketball for various Holbrook teams. He was also involved with the Blue Hill Regional School Boosters Club programs. Judy and Jim enjoyed their beach home, retiring there several years ago.

Jim was a member of the Old South Union Church in So. Weymouth, serving on various committees. Jim and Judy were owners of Accord Travel Agency in So. Weymouth for 21 years. They enjoyed many wonderful trips with their family. He also was a major fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Boating and fishing were his other hobbies. 

At the family’s request there will be no visiting hours.  A celebration of life ceremony will be scheduled for a later date.
