James R. Young, 67, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on Dec. 14, 2015. He was the son of Laura Lamb and James Young. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 36 years, Leah Debroah Young and two grandchildren, Robert Young, of New Bedford, and Katelynn Leah Lake, of Wareham.

He leaves behind eight children: James (Dory) Young, John (Cheryl) Young, Michelle Young, Robert Young, Kimberly Lake, Daniel (Andrea Gardner) Young, Jeffrey (Elizabeth Taylor) Young, Jacqueline (Eric Stell) Young, and 24 grandchildren; as well as many loved ones and friends.

James was a very hard worker who worked as a taxi driver at night to put himself through school to become a very skilled and well respected telephone lineman. He worked for the phone company for nearly three decades before retiring to Florida with his beloved wife, Leah.

James was a wonderful person who would do anything for anyone. He also had a fondness for playing pool and poker with friends and worked at Electric Circus. James will be deeply missed by many.
