Abington-Jean Frances Wajer, 87, of Abington formerly of Wareham, passed away at the Colony Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Abington of Friday, April 21, 2023. She was the wife of the late Edwin A. Wajer who passed away in 1971.

Jean was born in Boston the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Ward) Sullivan. A  Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1952-1956. She worked for S. S. Kresge Company, that later became K Mart in 1977. She was also a former resident of the Kendrick House in Wareham. Jean enjoyed Wareham Village and could often be seen sitting on the bench at Pezzoli Square enjoying the day. 

Jean is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Mallard, Mary A. Struzik, Arthur Sullivan and she was the half-sister to the late Robert J. Sullivan.

Her funeral will be from the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 with visitation from 9:30 – 10:30 followed by prayers at 10:30 in the funeral home and her committal service at 11:30 in Plymouth County Cemetery 284 South Meadow Road, Plymouth, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
