John Stockton, 69

John Stockton, 69, of Wareham, died March 3 at home. He was the son of the late John and Amy (Denson) Stockton.

He was born in Wareham and lived there for many years. He graduated from Bourne High School in 1967. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Stockton worked as a tow truck driver and auto mechanic for M. Sylvester Towing in Falmouth.

He was a fan of the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed motorcycles and making models. He enjoyed living among his new family at the Cooperative Production Group Home and receiving quality and compassionate care.

Survivors include his children, John C. Stockton, Laura Stockton, Christopher J. Stockton, Crystal M. Stockton-Shortell, John S. Stockton, Jessica L. Stockton, Danielle Taylor; three sisters, Pat Gracia, Carol Blanchette and Ethel Morse all of Buzzard Bay; his brother, Randy Stockton of Buzzards Bay; 19 grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Daniel Raymond Stockton.

His visiting hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham. Burial will
follow at 11:30 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
