Kenneth Howard, 63

Nov 16, 2018

Kenneth R. Howard, 63, of Wareham, formerly of Randolph, passed away at Tobey Hospital on June 12 after a long illness. He was an excellent chess player and an avid reader, even buying out the inventory of a neighborhood bookstore!

Kenny graduated from Rockwood Academy Preparatory School, and attended North Adams State College, both in Western Massachusetts. He worked for Penniman Hill Farm in Hingham for many years before moving to Wareham, where he cared for his ailing wife Patty and raised his daughter Madeline.

He is predeceased by his father, Donald R. Howard, his wife Patricia (Navis) Howard, and infant son, Nathaniel. Survivors include his daughter Madeline, mother Avis, and sisters, Cheryl Gardner and Pamela Howard, two nieces and their families, and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday,  Nov. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cromesett Woods Apartments, 6 Cromesett Road, Wareham, in the community room of the two-story building. Appetizers and refreshments will be served as we gather together in friendship to remember Kenny. A Go Fund Me page is being set up for his daughter Madeline, a senior at Wareham High School for expenses and college.
