Knitting event in memory of Wareham child who lost battle with cancer
Nov 7, 2012
The Chemo Caps 4 Kids fundraiser, a knitting and crocheting event to benefit children battling cancer, is scheduled for Saturday, November 10, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Hangman Coffee Hut in Marion.
For $10, attendees will learn to knit a chemotherapy cap, which will then be donated to children with cancer to keep them comfortable and warm.
Organizer Sharon Morais was inspired to help after learning about Wareham resident Hailey Jean Pease, who lost her battle with leukemia in 2011. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Kids Kickin’ Cancer foundation in Hailey’s name.

Hangman Coffee Hut is located at 119 Wareham Road, Marion.
