The second annual Lazy Lobster road race will be making its triumphant return to Wareham on Sunday, June 15.

The event will include a 10-mile race, 5-mile race and a kids fun run. All the proceeds for the event go to myTeam Triumph, a program that offers athletic ride-alongs for children, teens, adults and veterans with disabilities who wouldn't be able to experience endurance events such as this.

The races will begin and end at Decas Elementary School, 760 Main St. in Wareham. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 10 and 5-mile races will begin at 9 a.m.

10 mile and 5 mile runners who register by June 5 will receive a technical short sleeve shirt. Online registration will be open through June 12. After that, you may register at the starting line beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Registration for the 10 mile race is $40 through June 12 and $45 race day registration. The 5 mile race is $30 through June 12 and $35 race day registration. The Kids Fun Run is $5 through June 12 and $5 race day registration

The virtual runner 5 miler is $30 registration and the 10 miler is $40 registration before June 6.

Virtual Runners will run either the 5 mile or the 10 mile on any course of their choosing in the area they live. We will mail shirts, medals, and other race swag prior to race day. Virtual runners will get entered into their own raffle prizes.
