REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Town of Wareham, the Awarding Authority as represented by the Wareham Town Administrator’s Office, invites sealed bids for the Sidewalk Improvements at the Onset Pier, West Boulevard sidewalk Improvements and Improvements to the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell in Onset, MA 02558.
All bid documents, including bid forms, will be available on the Town’s website,
https://www.wareham.gov/bids.aspx, on February 24, 2026, at 2:00pm.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Onset Pier, 186 Onset Ave, Onset, MA 02558 on March 3, 2026, at 10:00AM. Contractors are invited to meet the Owner’s Representative at the conference.
Questions regarding the project will be taken via email by the Town’s Representative, Lauren Schunk, schhunk.lauren@wseinc.com, RLA, Project Landscape Architect with Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc, no later than March 11, 2026 at 4:00pm.
Proposals must be received at the Office of the Town Administrator, Wareham Town Hall, Third Floor, 54 Marion Road, Wareham, MA 02571, by 4:00 PM on March 18, 2026. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked “Onset Pier and West Blvd Sidewalk Improvements & Lillian Gregerman Bandshell Improvements” with the proposer’s name.

The revision to the plan is to show compliance with the Tenth Edition of the Massachusetts Building Code (Code). The new Code increased the freeboard for flood zones by an additional foot. The Code became fully effective in July 1, 2025. The original date on the Site Plan for this project is June 26, 2024. A building permit was not received for this project prior to the change in the Code so the plan has been revised to comply with the additional freeboard requirement. There has been no change to the layout, parking, traffic pattern, drainage, landscaping or other design feature of the plan. The only change has been to raise the proposed site grading one (1) foot to comply with the additional freeboard requirement of the new Building Code.
