Leo R. Arsenault, 87
Leo R. Arsenault, 87, of W. Wareham, died Saturday, November 22 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Theresa Dempsey and the late Shirley I. (Callebaut) Arsenault.
Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Adam and Marcella (Boudreau) Arsenault. A previous resident of West Roxbury and Franklin, he moved to West Wareham in 1995. Mr. Arsenault was an electrical engineer for New England Telephone for many years. He retired in 1989.
Mr. Arsenault also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He enjoyed sailing and model building.
He is survived by his daughter, Anne Marie Perrotti of N. Scituate, Rhode Island; his son, Robert E. Arsenault of Roslindale; his grandchildren, James A. Roach, Alice A. Perrotti, William Arsenault and Shannon Pierce; and his great- grandchildren, Benjamin J. Roach and Abigail I. Roach.
Funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Wed., Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
