Linda Gendron, 68
A much loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Linda Gendron, 68 of Marion, passed peacefully on March 1, 2026, at Tobey Hospital.
Born on May 14, 1957, in Wareham, Linda was raised there and made many lifelong memories before later settling in Marion.
Linda had a deep love for the ocean and was happiest at the beach. In her younger years, she especially enjoyed spending time in Onset with friends. She was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots and rarely missed a game, faithfully cheering them on each season.
Linda is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 44 years, Roy Gendron of Marion; her daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Derrek) of New Bedford; her son, Roy Gendron Jr. (Jackie) of Fairhaven; her beloved granddaughter, Natalya; and her grandsons, Chevron, Camren, and Levi, who brought much joy to her life.
She is also survived by her mother, Loretta Barrett of Wareham; her siblings, Mike Barrett of Auburn, Maine; Steve Barrett of South Paris, Maine; Kim Gustafson of Rochester; Glenn Barrett of Marion; and Kristen Cardoso of Cape Coral, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Vincent “Vinny” Barrett.
A memorial service will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Donaghy-Hathaway Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts.
