In 60 years, Lindsey's Restaurant has hosted many celebratory dinners, business gatherings, functions, and other events.  But Friday, it hosted its first live radio broadcast, as DJ Liz Raven from 95.9 WATD FM stopped by to have some food, speak with diners and spin some tunes.

"I get to Lindsey's every chance I get," said Raven. "It might be said I have an addiction to their seafood bisque."

Restaurant owner Cheri Lindsey said that the event was a natural collaboration.

"She comes in here to eat, I listen to her on the radio," Lindsey said. "She plays good music, the station has good news and talk radio, I really like it."

Lindsey liked it so much that the restaurant began advertising with the station - which is when they noticed that Raven would occasionally travel out-of-studio for events.

"We've been clients for over a year," Lindsey said.  "We wanted to know what hosting a broadcast would be like."
