Louis Mazzola, 72, automobile mechanic
Louis Mazzola, 72, of East Wareham, died October 25 in the V. A. Medical Center, West Roxbury. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Fish) Mazzola. They were married for 46 years. He was the son of the late Louis and Annie (Roberts) Mazzola.
He was born in Hackensack, NJ and he lived in Wareham for most of his life.
Mr. Mazzola worked as an automobile mechanic for many years. He later worked for Murphy’s Auto Salvage in West Wareham.
He was a member of Cranberry Chapel in Carver and a longtime supporter of Heartline Ministries.
Survivors include his widow; 7 daughters, Theresa “Terri” Vieira and Cynthia “Cindy” Howard both of Mashpee, Wanda Mazzola of Bourne, Tina Billingham of White River Junction, VT, Carol Crabb of Wareham, Cheryl Brown of Fall River, and Laurie Lou Fernandes of Bourne; 3 sons, Robert Souza, Jr. of Mashpee, Jeffrey Souza of Davie, FL, and Randy Authier of Laurel, DE; a brother, Joe Matheus of NY; 44 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth Perry and Pauline Mazzola.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in the Tabernacle of Praise, 189 Hathaway St., Wareham. Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
