Lucille Dardis, 94
Lucille B. (Bousquet) Dardis, 94, of Onset, formerly of Waltham, died Dec. 5 at her home. She was the wife of the late Edmund P. Dardis.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the beloved daughter of the late Oneil and Hilda Bousquet. She had a successful career at Raytheon, retiring after 30 years. Mrs. Dardis then went to work and volunteer at Tobey Hospital in Wareham for many years until the ripe age of 90. She also participated in her neighborhood crime watch and enjoyed many activities such as regaling the many stories to her vast amount of family and friends, sunbathing on the many beaches of New England, playing and performing music, travelling, and many other hobbies and activities.
She will be sadly missed by the owners, staff and patrons of the Pier View Restaurant in Onset as well as everyone who was lucky enough to have had the pleasure of meeting her.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Forrester of Stoughton; her brother Cyril “Skip” Bousquet of Florida; her grandchildren, Debra O’Neil, Anne Marie Esposito, James Linehan, Cheryl Gaspa, Robert Wadman, Diana Lewis, Renee Wadman, Gabbrialle Tragni and Richard Lewis. She was the great grandmother of many great grandsons and granddaughters as well as the great great grandmother of many great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucille was predeceased by her daughter, the late Nancy Lewis; her sister, the late Claire Bousquet and her grandson, the late Edward Linehan.
Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Friday Dec. 9 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
