'Make It Better With Cranberries' cooking contest this month

The A.D. Makepeace Company, in conjunction with the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association, Trucchi’s Supermarkets and edible South Shore magazine, is hosting the 4th Annual "Make It Better With Cranberries" Cooking Contest.

Entries will be received on Saturday, November 17, at Makepeace Farms, 146 Tihonet Road, Wareham, MA between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and at Trucchi’s Supermarket, 534 County Street (Route 140) Taunton between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Recipes must include fresh cranberries, cranberry juice, dried cranberries, or prepared cranberry sauce.

The contest is open to all ages and skill levels. First, second and third place prize-winners will be selected in both the adult and student/youth (ages 8-16) category.

Selected recipes will be printed in the 2013 edition of the “Make It Better With Cranberries Cookbook.”
