Man Lifeflighted after being struck by vehicle

WAREHAM -- A man in his 50s was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while in the roadway on Onset Avenue Saturday night, Onset Assistant Fire Chief Howard Andersen said.

He was transported by MedFlight medical hospital, Andersen said. He did not know what hospital the man was taken to.

The accident was reported at about 9:10 p.m. Sept. 5 in the area of 114 Onset Ave. near Nanumett Street, Andersen said.

The victim’s condition was not known as of Tuesday morning. His name and community of residence was not immediately available.

Wareham Police had not responded to a request for information on Tuesday morning.
