Maria Bruno, 71
Maria A. (Amodeo) Bruno, 71, of Plymouth died peacefully Jan. 5 in Wingate at Silver Lake, Kingston. She was the wife of Anthony Bruno and the daughter of the late Americo and Ann (Kinteris) Amodeo.
She was born in Boston and lived in Belmont and Wareham for many years before moving to Plymouth recently. She graduated from Belmont High School and Chandler Business School.
Mrs. Bruno worked as an office manager at Arlington Typing and Mailing in Arlington for many years before retiring.
She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing and dancing, especially country line dancing.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Anthony Bruno of Plymouth; two daughters, Tracy Sullivan and her husband, Michael of Sagamore Beach and Karen O’Leary and her husband, John of Middleboro; a son, Michael A. Bruno and his wife, Allison of South Kingstown, Rhode Island; two brothers, Anthony Amodeo of Burke, Vermont, and Robert Amodeo of Salem; six grandchildren, Kylee and Casey Sullivan, Kaitlyn and Samantha O’Leary, Sophia and Joseph Bruno.
Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
