Marjorie F. (Tatlow) Mann, 88
Marjorie F. (Tatlow) Mann, 88, died peacefully at home with family by her side on October 8, 2019.
Marjorie was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Marjorie A. (Hammond) Tatlow. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident of Onset and Buzzards Bay. Marjorie graduated from Wareham High School and attended the School of Fashion Design in Boston. In her younger years, she waitressed at the White Rabbit where she met her cranberry-grower husband David. She managed their pick-your-own strawberry operations at Back Acre Farms in Taunton and Middleboro. Marjorie was active with her husband in the Farm Bureau, Ocean Spray, and the Aptucxet Garden Club.
“Sis” was a dedicated caregiver to many. She was happiest doing physical work around the homesteads, baking, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her friends, home, cats, boating, and the beach.
Survivors include her husband David B. Mann, daughter Susan Mann of Onset, son Keith Mann of Buzzards Bay, and grandchildren Magdalene Mann, Jillian Gillman, Avery Gillman, and brothers Hal Tatlow of Buzzards Bay, and William Tatlow of East Wareham. She was the mother of the late Gordon Mann and sister to the late Ervina Maki, Ethel Bump, Anne Newcomb and David Tatlow.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Her funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, October 16 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Long Neck Cemetery, Onset.
