Mary Rose (Graceffa) Fobert, 89
Mary Rose (Graceffa) Fobert, 89, of Onset, died Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Fobert.
Born and raised in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Vinziano) Graceffa. Mary then moved to Arlington where she raised her family. A longtime summer resident of Onset, she moved there year-round in 1993.
Mary was secretary for the housemaster’s office at Waltham High School. Prior to her marriage, she was a flight attendant for Air Canada and flew on DC-6 aircrafts. She was also a homemaker and primary caretaker for her daughter Stephanie, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 25. Her daughter Stephanie also died on Wednesday just hours later while also at Tobey Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Mark Fobert and his wife Heidi Kallander Fobert of Grafton; their children, her grandsons, Nicholas and Thomas Fobert. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Al Graceffa, Vincent Graceffa, Jr., Raymond Graceffa, Rosalie (Graceffa) Santo, and Frances (Graceffa) Sexton.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tues., Mar. 1, 2022, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay at 11 AM. Interment will be at the Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St., Lexington on Wed., March 2nd at 11am.
