In the Nov. 6 state election, incumbent Susan Williams Gifford (R-Wareham) and Carver Selectmen Sarah Hewins (D-Carver) are seeking to represent the 2nd Plymouth District, which covers Wareham, Carver and Middleboro.
Gifford is seeking a ninth term. Currently, she is the assistant minority whip and serves on the House Committee on Steering, Policy and Scheduling.Hewins challenged Gifford two years ago for the seat and is back before voters. She is her town’s former conservation agent and served on its Planning Board for 10 years.
