Isla August, a grade 5 student at the Wareham Middle School, has won the Scotty Monteiro Jr. Award for the month of November. 

Isla is said to be a “wonderful role model to her classmates,” and to strive to do her best in all her classes. 

“She is always positive and shares that positivity daily with everyone she encounters,” according to the school. “She is a conscientious and hardworking student that can always be expected to do what is asked of her.”

“We are very proud to have such a wonderful student at our school,” the school said.
