Mite C wins Youth Hockey division championship
The Wareham Youth Hockey Mite C team won the Cape Cod Youth Hockey League Mite C Division championship with a comeback victory on Sunday.
The team, representing Wareham, Marion, Mattapoisett, Fairhaven and Rochester, was originally seeded fourth in the playoffs. They defeated number-one-seed Dennis Yarmouth, however, on Saturday to make it to the final game against Barnstable Wild on Sunday.
Down by two goals early in the first period against Barnstable, Wareham fought back to win 5-3 and become the division champions.
All games were played at the Barnstable / Hyannis Youth and Community Center.
Team members include: Vittorio Consoletti, Jake Drew, John Rodrigues, Ben Austin, Jack Barrows, Foster Chandler, Kaleb Riggle, Tyler Lovendale, Carlee Drew, Jack Martins, Nick Snow, Jameson Woodward, and Mitchell Noble (Goalie). Coaches include Head Coach John Lovendale, Assistant Teddy Drew, Assistant Travis Riggle, and Assistant Tim Drew.
