Multi-Service Center holds 8th annual Christmas dinner

Dec 27, 2022

The Multi-Service Center, 48 Marion Road, held its 8th annual Christmas dinner for veterans, seniors and those in need on Saturday, Dec. 17.

This year marks the first year that the dinner was held at the Multi-Service Center instead of the VFW Dudley L Brown Post 2846 in Onset.

“This year we were forced to change our location,” said event organizer Deneen Rose, “but we were determine to make this happen and to make sure we continue to give back to the community.”

Rose said she would like to thank the event’s sponsors: the Wareham Home Depot, the Bourne Starbucks, Angela Kronillas, the New Bedford Vet Center, Walt’s Movile Closet, the Rotary Club of Barnstable and D.R. Warren Enterprise in Wareham. She thanked Salerno’s Function Hall and Stephen’s Lounge in Onset for offering their space to meetings and preparation.

She also thanked the Council on Aging, the town of Wareham and the volunteers and committee members who donated their time and money to help prepare and serve dinner.

“This is what the holidays are about,” Rose said. “Giving back.”

Next year’s dinner will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023.
