New home for Turning Point

Mar 30, 2025

Turning Point of Wareham officially opened the doors of its new location, 777 Main Street, on March 28.

For the last three years the organization, which assists homeless people and those facing homelessness, has been headquartered near Wareham Middle School on Viking Drive. The nonprofit organization is now sharing a space with the American Legion at their headquarters on the corner of Tobey Road, across from the former Decas School.

Turning Point President Chuck McCullough said the move is due to the Wareham School District repurposing the McDuffy building.

“We have to move but we’re very appreciative of the time we had there and thank the school system for allowing us to be there for three years,” McCullough said.

The American Legion will continue to use the building. McCullough said it is large enough to provide an equivalent amount of office space as the McDuffy building.

The building is now open to the public with their regular hours of operation and an open house is planned for some time this spring.
