'A Night in Havana' coming to Buzzards Play Productions
It's getting hotter by the day and it will be even hotter at night at Buzzards Play Productions “A Night in Havana” set for Saturday, May 30.
Cranberry Coast Concerts is bringing its stars Marilyn Morales, a Cuban native, and Kurt Whipple as the main attraction in this “Cuba in the 50s” revue to the Buzzards Play theater.
Doors open at 8 p.m. for an 8:30 p.m. performance at Buzzards Play Productions, located at 3065 Cranberry Highway.
Michelle Bowlin, owner of Music of the Bay, and Sally Morrison are directing the show staged in a Havana nightclub. Along with Morales and Whipple, many of BPP’s performers will round out the cast. The performers and staff will wear 1950s and/or Latin American dress. Audience members are encouraged to do the same.
There will be tapas (snacks) for all and a cash bar featuring sangria for those 21 and over.
Guests coming in period dress will be entered into a prize raffle. A Night in Havana funds scholarships for Camp CCC, an inclusive youth music camp, conducted by Music of the Bay & Cranberry Coast Concerts.
Tickets are $15 until May 26th are available at Music of the Bay, 3202 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham and online at brown paper tickets. Tickets are $20 at the door.
