No way it's Onset Bay Community Day

The Onset Bay Center will host a free Community Day Monday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 186 Onset Ave., offering residents and visitors a chance to explore Onset Bay and learn about local recreation and conservation programs.

Attendees can take part in sailing trips aboard a 10-passenger Drascombe Gig sailboat, with scenic rides departing every 45 minutes. Launch boat rides in an 18-passenger vessel will also be available on the same schedule.

Additional activities include kayaking, paddleboarding, and rowing opportunities, as well as beach games such as Kan Jam and Spikeball. A sand play area with toys will be available for families.

The event will also include children’s arts and crafts led by Dianne’s Art Farm, giving participants the opportunity to create bay-inspired artwork to take home. The event is designed to introduce the public to the Onset Bay Center’s summer programming and highlight ongoing conservation work led by the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

No pre-registration is required, and all activities are available on a walk-in basis.
