Patricia A. Hart, 83, of Wareham, died Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was the wife of John E. Hart.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Milton J. and Theodora (Smith) Owen. Raised in Fairhaven, she lived in Dartmouth where she graduated from Dartmouth High School, Class of 1953.  Mrs. Hart moved to Wareham 42 years ago.

A homemaker, she raised five children of her own, then did foster care. She then adopted four other children to call her own. She enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, nature and her adored cats.

Survivors include her husband, John E. Hart of Wareham; her children, Michael Willbanks of New Bedford, Jeffrey Willbanks of Buzzards Bay, Stephanie Cole of Middleboro, Jennifer Hart of Oxford, Nancy Knight of Plymouth, Patricia Cappella of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Jolean Hart and Jacob Hart both of Wareham. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, the late Pamela Roy.

Her memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Grace Lighthouse Fellowship, 3065 Cranberry Highway, East Wareham at 3 p.m.
