Paul N. Rousseau, 84, machinist, WWII Army veteran
Paul N. Rousseau, 84, died June 13, at his home in East Wareham after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Solfvin) Rousseau.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Arthur & Veronica (Roderick) Rousseau and has lived in Wareham since 1958. Mr. Rousseau received his diploma from New Bedford High School after his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a machinist for Morse Cutting Tools and Continental Screw in New Bedford. He was the builder and original proprietor of The Kool Kone in Wareham.
Mr. Rousseau was a member of The Sixth Bristol Club in New Bedford, Wareham Lodge of Elks #1548, and American Legion Post #220 in Wareham. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, sailing, and his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Robin Rousseau of E. Wareham, Scott Rousseau of Grayson, GA, and Todd Rousseau of Wareham. He was the grandfather of seven and was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, the late Vivian Rousseau Harrison, Connie Rousseau Pepin and Raymond and Roger Rousseau.
His funeral was held June 16. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
