Pearl D. “Tweety” (Texeira) Barboza, 68, of Marion, died October 21 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center at Forestview in Wareham. She was the daughter of the late Domingo and Irene (Avila) Texeira.

She was born in Marion and lived there most of her life.

Mrs. Barboza worked for Carol Cable Company in New Bedford for many years.

She enjoyed reading the Bible and cooking.

Survivors include her son, John R. Barboza of New Bedford; 4 daughters, Johnnie Ann Estrada, Tracy Barboza, and Irene Barboza, all of New Bedford and Debbie Barboza of Middleboro; 2 brothers, Boy Texeira of Mashpee and Robert Texeira of Marion; 2 sisters, Barbara Texeira and Beverly “Cookie” Tubbs; 15 grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 3 in the Tabernacle of Praise, 187 Hathaway St., Wareham.

Visiting hours have been omitted.
