Construction of a new orthodontist office at 6 Recovery Road in Wareham received the Planning Board’s approval Monday night.

The business will be owned by Kevin Oliveira who currently operates Coastal Orthodontics, located in Wareham Crossing.

Plans call for a building with nine work stations, 32 parking spaces and solar panels on top of the building. Board members questioned a few aspects of the blueprints, including proper screening measures for the solar panels and if there was adequate parking.

Bob Rogers of G.A.F. Engineering appeared before the board representing Oliveira. He addressed those concerns saying the screening will be at least a foot above the panels when built. Under town bylaws, the lot is required to have at least 20 parking spaces due to its size. The plans go above that and include 32 parking spaces, Rogers said.

The Planning Board unanimously approved the plans.
