Police arrest one suspect in Onset stabbing, another still at large
After a lengthy investigation, Wareham Police detectives have arrested one of the suspects wanted in connection to a November stabbing in Onset.
Nineteen-year-old Anthony Paulino was picked up by the Cambridge Police Department on Jan. 20. He was arraigned in Wareham the next day and now faces two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, after police say he, and an accomplice, stabbed an Onset man on Nov. 27.
According to police, Onset Fire personnel were already treating the adult male victim for a single stab wound to the lower back when officers arrived at the scene. The victim told police he was jumped by two men after a brief argument. He was brought to Tobey Hospital and was later transported to Boston Medical Center. He was released the following day.
Paulino is currently being held at the Plymouth County House of Correction on $500 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Feb. 2.
The investigation is still underway.
