Police recover drugs at Wareham apartment complex
Police recovered four bags of cocaine while executing a search warrant of apartment 7K at the Brandy Hill apartment complex in Wareham at approximately 1 p.m. on June 20, according to Wareham Police.
Police arrested 41-year-old Derrick Schulze and 54-year-old Pedro Santana, both residents of apartment, according to a police statement.
While executing the warrant regarding the possession of illegal drugs, police secured two bags of cocaine in powdered form, two bags of crack cocaine, and various drug paraphernalia, including a scale for weighing drugs, corner-cut plastic baggies, and baking soda, police said.
Schulze and Santana were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substance Act, according to police.
Because the apartment is located within 1,000 feet of Minot Forest Elementary School, both males were also charged with committing a drug violation within a school zone, police said.
Schulze and Santana were arraigned at Wareham District Court.
