Public hearing on Cranberry Highway improvements to be held July 12

Jun 4, 2012

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be holding a public hearing on the design aspects of proposed changes to Cranberry Highway on July 12 at 7 p.m. in the Wareham Town Hall Cafeteria.

The Department plans an improvement project to the section of Cranberry Highway between the junction of Route 6 and Route 28 eastward to the Bourne town line which is currently slated to start in 2015.

Proposed work includes widening the road to create a four-lane highway with a raised median and shoulders for bicycles, the installation of curbing along the entire project length, the construction of sidewalks, and the regulation of traffic through signals.

The public hearing will only concern the design aspects of the project.
